  • when moving tonearm toward the album to a certain drop, it will move back by its self. how can i fix this problem.

  • could be down to the A skating spring in the arm housing being loose or not attached. j

  • I have to remove the platter, but I can't! It's stuck or something lol

  • to hardramen, all you need do is get a small piece of hard wood not too heavy and gently tap the spindle , this will release the platter , as this some times gets stuck!

  • Do you know if it is the middle section of dots that is supposed to stand still on EVERY turntable when it is on 33 rpm? Because I've bought a turntable, on which when I have it on 33, it is the UPPER set of dots that stands still. Is that a problem?? (the records still sounds fine)

  • hey i was looking at those audio technica turntables thats build like 1200's ...are they any good?

  • Awesome video dude. I'm new to the turntable market, as I have just found out when I went looking for my fathers that he sold his. I am on a real budget here and was wondering what you think is the best kind of turn table to buy 2nd hand, or maybe even new that wont cause me too much of a headache. I am not looking to spin or scratch, just listen to old records for the best sound quality. Cheers

  • ellaskins, first of all thanks for the really useful vids. not many DJs are good at explaining and sharing the knowledge, so appreciate it.

I did this test on my brand new Citronic PD-1 (Yep, the Technics wannabe) and that row of circles you point out in the video never stays stationary. In fact none of the rows stay 100% static.

Is this something I should look into, maybe a faulty deck from the dealer or is this test not necessarily applying for my TT.

    Thanks in advance

  • Thanks for the video J, like the hat :]

  • Hi all. Does anyone know of any shops in Dublin, Ireland that fix 1210's? I'm in dire need of a new tonearm! Also how much would it cost to buy it & have them install it? Thanks. Peace.

  • Nice advice but 7:09 is a huge no no always remember to power off your turntable before you remove the platter as the magnets do not like it.

  • Great tips...
