you do not need to use HEX workshop i use a free version of thsi unknow hex editor i like it

UPDATE: (ANOTHER WAY OF GOING AT THIS)
To get L3 and R3 in clan tag you have to have a keyboard. go to accessory setting and then go to keyboard type. change the keyboard type to dutch and the start up game and go to clan tag. once at clan tag hold alt on the keyboard and hit 4 for L3 and 5 for R3
