Markus Winkelhock ist mit dem Audi R8 e-tron Weltrekord auf der Nordschleife des Nürburgrings gefahren: Der Ex-DTM-Fahrer jagte mit dem rein elektrisch angetriebenen Audi in nur 8 Minuten und 9 Sekunden über die Strecke. Das Video zeigt die komplette Rekordfahrt aus Sicht der Onboard-Kameras.

Awesome video. Just wondering what does the "tacho" do? I mean what is it actually measuring? Also, does it actually measure in RPM or in a %of max? Similar to a turbine powered aircraft? Or maybe a power reserve type of gauge similar to a Rolls Royce?

I think it measures the amount of energy taken from the battery. In the left area of the tacho is a green bar, which in my opinion means, that the battery is loaded by the breaking-energy.
