@Boss302fan Thanks...sure I will jump into a mark4 tamper and fix that right up...may take me a few days to get there though from POCO yard ha ha ha. My newest hobby,is trolling the railway videos, and laughing at all the people that pretend they know what they are talking about...entertaining...be safe out there as well!!

@zj360666 God bless track maintenance! LOL. BTW....I have a small cross-level issue on the lead into Ford. Can you help me with that? LOL Be safe man.

What kinda wimp horn was that!

It's only a loose/broken bolt...not the end of the world, and defently not enough to cause a derailment...with high traffic, this is totally normal..I should know,I do track maintenance for a living...you work your beat one day,and tighten/replace bolts..and come back the next day, with more needing tightening/replacing....Also you think this is bad,try watching a coal train hit a frog with a missing bolt at 65 MPH...

metro links must be in-charge

it already happened.that CN train that derailed a few weeks ago derailed at a diamond

@MrMorry123 The inspector will climb off his hi-rail truck or whatever vehicle he is using and carefully inspect the crossing for wear, fractures and/or missing bilts. He doesn't need paint to make them stand out. In cases like this the inspector himself may go ahead and replace the bolt. A lot of course depends on whether or not he has new bolts with him and what the union rules (if any) enable him to do.

Why do the bolts not have a colour paint on them to ensure that they were inspected and tightened to spec through regular maintenance. ?
that way it can be determined if they were missed or not done or bad job when by who..Especilally at crossings or connections!

@LycoValleyRRFan Maybe he was being sarcastic. It's a possibilty.
Those rails look dirty, they should clean them this must be a track worker goofing off. Don't they know a dirty rail will derail a train. I know it will because I am an expert because I have been filming trains since I was little. They should also blow the gravel away from the tracks because if it gets to close it will break a coupler. I know this will happen because it happened to me when I was playing that Microsoft simulator.

Being blocked by railfans such as yourself is an expected compliment. When professionals point out you are wrong you guys don't want to hear it.
Of course bolts and nuts should be tightened according to grade and spec. Who argued otherwise.
But the reality is that they come loose and maintenance crews inspect them and take the appropriate action
