  • @MidnightinSavannah Since in the '60's car bodies changed every year, they would shoot commercials for the model release using production mules and prototypes. They probably used two different cars and no one noticed the difference.

  • @newgrubstreet deep, soft interior..... Oval steering wheel??

  • @jtkirkfan2002 right, we had a 67 Belair wagon, so I do prefer the 67's...though the 73 Impala/Caprice was one of the best looking in my view..I wonder what that couple is driving now?... prob a Camry..

  • Since when do trees get erections?

  • What is the deal at :03 when it 1st show the car it has the trunk emblem on the hood and then at :07 it's gone?

  • I'll take one in black and go hunt monsters

  • My Grandmother bought a 22,000 mile 74 Impala 2dr Hardtop to replace it. She retired in 1985 and didn't drive much, so I got it in 2003 with only 69,000 miles on it. And yes, she's still a round too.

  • Not a Caprice, but the only new car my Grandmother ever bought was a 67 Impala 4dr Sedan. Was destroyed in a wreck in '80 when I was 14. It was Sierra Fawn with gold cloth/vinyl bench seat. 283, Powerglide, AC, Am radio, Power steering/Brakes (all drum though). Bought it 11/09/1966. I still have all the paperwork. I remember it well. And the first new car my dad bought was a 65 Impala SS! Traded it in 1974 for a Mercury Montego, which I have now.

  • My person preference is for the 1966's, but that's just me. My dad had a '66 Biscayne and that is the first car I remember so I guess that is where it comes from.

  • The rear fender skirts were designed to make the car look longer and sleeker. The addition of the skirts worked and added an elegant touch to Chevy's top of the line 4-door hardtop.
