@hem1934, I backed Music Show to win the 2010 English 1000 Guineas, so it really wasn't any skin off of my ass whether the result stood or not?? LOL. But that said, I don't know how anyone could watch this race and not see that Special Duty probably lost every bit of a half-length when you factor in the distance she was carried across the track off of a true line that she was running stride for stride with JQ over. Stewards in the UK let questionable results stand too often the way it is, IMO.
a race of this magnitude, Jacqueline Quest and her connections may have been unfortunate to have been taken down as the winner? But in any other country in the world that has thoroughbred racing, Jacqueline Quest would've been D.Q.'d, and I don't think it would even taken that long to make the decision? Special Duty was running right with Jacqueline Quest stride for stride through stretch, and Jacqueline Quest was carrying Special Duty further across the track with each stride. Case closed!! JMO
I've followed thoroughbred racing for some 30+years now from all over the world. Over half of my life. And I can tell you unquestionably that it's only in the UK that the decision to D.Q. Jacqueline Quest in this race would even be called into question. Stewards in the UK have almost always let the result stand, even when it looked like the horses were playing rugby instead of racing out on the track. LOL. So knowing how stewards in the UK are about overturning a race result, especially>>>>

I can't believe this result. It must rank among the worst stewards decisions I've ever seen. What a disgrace.
