I came across this interview with Roger Brown, the president of the Berklee College of Music, on what Berklee looks for in prospective students. My intent in uploading and sharing this is that it may help those of you who need to really know what Berklee's criteria is for applicants!

I am a junior in high school and am hoping and praying to get into Berklee as a Trumpet player! Music is my passion and i live to express my self through my music! Is there any advice you could give or things i should be practicing to get accepted??? Anything is greatly appriciated! BTW, do you attend Berklee???

@JDCustomGuitars I played Morning Aire by Tommy Emmanuel and one of my own compositions. Tea is fantastic.

Hi, do you have to have a certain grade to get in? for example I play bass and self taught so i have no bass grades! Thank you from Jack

@bassjak666 I wouldn't worry about that. Do you come from a country with a system of grading instruments? (The UK is a good example)

Berklee is unfair because I have a undying burning passion for playing guitar and innovation to keep playing and get better yet they didn't accept me.

I worked for everything I ever got. u tell me whats more respectable. n yes I promise on everything. I know I will make, got n will make it further in music than u ever will. Have fun playin cover songs at karaoke bars, not 2 get into my person life or figures but I just signed a deal n have 3 underground albums out. finishing my first professional project now.
