heard a live bootleg with Cobham but they were actually playing off the Taurian Matador theme. this whole playlist to the right makes this a bookmark page big time! thanx for posting.
this sounds like it's in a studio so first I've heard this group sound like this. saw Doug Rauch one with the Cobham Duke band and he was great.

I've been a M O devotee since 1971. Saw the original line up whenever they toured NYC. I attended both Between Nothingness concerts in Central Park.
Got to see Mahavishnu and Devadip do a couple of acoustic concerts at Hunter College in 1973, accompanied by Alice Coltrane and her trio. I remember only paying $10.00 for the tickets!
A blissful trip all the way! I still love and revere this timelessly divine music today as I did 40 years ago.
All Glories to the Supreme Musician SRI KRISHNA!

Carlos and John. More than just "Jazz/Rock"

Carlos and John reaching for higher levels, and arriving there.....

this truly is one of the best jazz rock instrumentals ever recorded...the groove, the inter play of the guitars, the weaving, intensity, soloing all perfect....of course this is only one man's opinion :)

This piece will consume and overtake you if you are not careful! It is truly brilliant and will stand the test of time. 7h89m is absol-fucking-lutely right! Cookie Meyer of Nurnberg, Germany turned me on to this when we were young lovers back in 1975; bless you Cookie, Much Love!

Flame-sky is the equivalent of Beethoven's 5th symphony for jazz-rock. You never get tired of hearing it. I listen to it when I'm down and it always lifts my sprits. Fantastic.
