As one of the pioneers of old school Hip-Hop and the first rapper to call himself 'MC', Melle Mel is the voice of Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five, the group that invented the term 'Hip-Hop'.
The film premiere at the Hammersmith Apollo also featured a Q&A session, hosted by Ice-T. Ice-T was later joined on stage for special performances by none other than Chuck D, Melle Mel, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah and UK rap group Hijack.
The Art of Rap, directed by Ice-T, is a documentary on Hip-Hop music's rise to global prominence and features Hip-Hop greats such as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Run, Dr. Dre and many, many others.
