I am hungarian... I am a vizsla person... when I was child we always went into other people's garden to eat some fruit from the trees. There was only one rule... DO NOT GO TO A GARDEN WHERE IS A KUVASZ. Great dogs. If you mess with them they make pitbull look harmless.

As an owner of a 4 months old Kuvasz puppy, I really enjoyed watching this video. I hope my Kuvasz grows up quickly and starts accompanying my family on hikes

@39jthm They are 70 kg. There is a special dichotomy on Kuvasz. Kuvasz is a sensible, cute baby for the family members and a wilde lion for strangers. It's a serious honour to live with a kuvasz. Yesterday evening (clear calm, stars on the sky...) we sat in our park lying the bitch on our left, and the boar on our right. Suddenly both dogs lifted their head, and then a deep mrrrr on our left and a mrrrr reply on our right. Then silence again... It's a very special feeling to live with them..:)

Sorry, I thought it's a joke...

No trim is needed for a kuvasz, of course. While american kuvaszes are almost just curly, an original kuvasz (what we have in Europe) has a fur with special twirls and whirls (based on hungarian standard), and the whole fur is changed for every winter. My kuvaszes are in our big parkland, so they life is very natural. They fur is totally self-cleaner, always brightly white and sometimes (after summer rains) has the perfume of the flower of blackthorn...:)

@39jthm :))) There is a story about a trimmed kuvasz, who was aggrieved and hid from his owner, while he was naked (for months). Kuvasz is an extremely wise fellow, a "semi-human being"... a wonder of our Planet...:)

I´m breeder. These Kuvaszok dont like the situation and I agree Taigetosz.

Beside this the coat typus isnt correct. The biologic name of the race is

canis familiaris hungaricus "undulans" Abonyi. Your kuvaszok they own

a "Maremma-Abruzzese coat -:) ... fine Video
