Aaron Smith AKA Stop the Car is just 21 years old and here is his debut single, the disco/funk fuelled 'Homebound EP'.

Smith's debut single, the 'Homebound EP' is a wonderful fusion of new and old, slicing contemporary production with a clear passion for late 70's disco. The release is built around 3 original recordings and kicks off with the title track 'Homebound', a heartfelt cut that covers the simple pleasures of going home and is a lovely slice of underground leftfield pop.

The second of the three tracks is 'Pixel' and opens with a rush of arpeggiated keys before launching into a hooky, melody rich record which uses heavily edited vocals to brilliant effect.

Finally we have the wonderfully intense 'Good Grammar' with its prominent synth work and driving percussion providing the base for tight loops of Smith's' vocals and a building melodic atmosphere, simple but beautiful.

With Stop the Car, producer Aaron Smith has shown that he has a lot to offer with his individual take on disco and dance music, here's looking forward to what's ahead....
