Sherman Island Kitesurfing in January with nice West winds in the 20s. 4 Kiters onsite in the afternoon. I was riding a Ocean Rodeo Mako King and flying a Peter Lynn Venom I 13M kite. Filmed with a GoPro on a KiteHero fin mount. Footage is realtime except for body dragging upwind back to the board was sped up. Lesson learned with the Peter Lynn ARC kite - when body dragging don't let it go to auto zenith otherwise you will get pulled downwind which happened to me last weekend. The water was cold. Goodtimes.
Cool video! so how s your advice and proper upwind body drag techinique?? what do you recommend doing !? Thanks in advance!

@rogerbaidon Thank you! Keep the kite low and make like superman with one arm pointing in the direction you want to go and the other controlling the bar. Make longer tacks rather than trying to go directly up wind. When you change direction bring the kite overhead in a controlled manner while kicking like in the backstroke. I like bright colored boards that are easier to see. Also you want to note where the board is in relation to a land mark and know what the tides are doing.
Cheers!
