  • That's great! I like your mantilla veil. So you're wearing a white one all the time? Because a black one is more discreet, and the white one rather for feast days. But many do have white ones though.

    Nice video!

  • Actually, it is pink. It does look very light in the video though. Thanks for the comment!

  • Typically, black is for widows. :)

  • @sabrinerweener : I did wear a black one on Good Friday for The Stations and Veneration. That is usually the only time I will wear a black chapel veil.

  • *bless! Lol

  • I think you would like my video on headcoverings, check it out on my channel! God s, sister!

  • Very pretty!

  • Your husband is a blessed man.

  • Congrats! I cover too. For me it's simple... God is the same yesterday today and forever more....plus...if the Angels at the time of St. Paul...then why would they have changed their minds??? I enjoy veiling. I have veils in all colors. I wear Purple during lent. In the summer I match them to my outfits since I go to mass daily and go before I reach the office. I do it for Jesus...thats good enough for meeee!

  • @BrickRoux Now i see.... it explain alot more... Pax tecum =]

  • @Classical0note: Oh, okay! I think we had a little miscommunication. I think that haircoverings themselves are DEFINITELY religious. When I said "they are mostly cultural," the "they" in that sentence referred to "ideas about which color to use." I should have been more clear. Sorry :)

  • @BrickRoux you said "they are mostly cultural instead of religious" so with this passage, i just want to show that they are indeed both cultural and religious, just through scripture its proven. =]

  • @Classical0note: Yes indeed, that's the Bible verse that I read often. Out of curiosity, why did you use it as your reply to my comment about what color the mantilla should be? Best wishes.

  • @BrickRoux I1 Corinthians 11: 2 Now I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I delivered them to you. 3 But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God. 4 Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head, 5 but every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as if her head were shaven.
