@lilith3609 it's strong as most scouser's have irish roots too. i am proud to be an > 1/8 irish...i have a grt grandfather from my mum's side who hailed from Mayo & a grt grt grandmother on my dad's side who came from Eire too. i have the lovely green eyes of the emerald isle :)

Sorry, but I cannot accept this as a "Liverpool" song. Written in Ireland, by an Irishman, it mentions the city name and an un-named river. No local references. Could be anywhere really.
