Auto safety is not for the faint of heart. Ford's extreme engineers use runaway shopping carts, water cannons, and even high-powered rifles to punish vehicles in a way you won't, even on your worst commute to the office. It's all to develop Ford's state-of-the-art safety technologies, including new air bag and crash-avoidance systems.

  • Very advanced stability control systems have been out since the mid 90's in European imports such as BMW and Mercedes. Ford just figured out stability control as of like 2003. I'd say they just recently figured out what safety actually is.
