The ASAP-XP family of hybrid air systems, (including the "MAKO A" variant currently in development by the Department of Defense) represents a significant advance in both Lighter Than Air and Unmanned Aerial Systems technologies. With its ability to be rapidly deployed, provide commanders with immediate data when other aerial mechanisms are unavailable or undesired, and packed into place and implemented by trained personnel, ASAP-XP Hybrid Air systems enable situational awareness across mission sets, from persistent ISR to tactical force protection. The low cost and high value puts this new hybrid air system in a category of its own by delivering a modern approach to an old problem.
