There is an error in this song's chart positioning. According to Billboard Magazine, this tune peaked at #6 on the Hot 100 (not #11 as indicated here).

First saw this on PBS a couple of months ago. Loved it. And now here it is. Thank you for posting it. Funny how our tastes, while they may not change all that much over the years, do expand and even embrace things we wouldn't have given a second thought to years earlier.
