MY VERY FIRST YEARS IN GOSPEL SINGING :-)) 2005...

Sorry for the "french - english", I was also beginning to speak english at that time!... :-)... but my heart was there full of Devotion this day, beyond words.


At the age of 18yo, in Montpellier (France), singing with "Gospelize it! Mass Choir" directed by Emmanuel Djob (2005).

THIS VIDEO IS ALWAYS THERE TO RECALL ME THE FIRST MOMENT WHEN I REALLY STARTED TO SEEK GOD WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL... This I can never forget... It was like loads of pains and illusions going away suddently by the Power of the Holy Spirit, by the Power of Grace...

Amazing Grace is the song that really brought me back the Grace in my life at a time where i was missing it so much

Yoann Fréget has been singing since his childhood. At the age of fifteen, he discovered the Gospel music, attending a concert of "GOSPELIZE IT! MASS CHOIR", composed of 70 singers directed by Emmanuel Djob, a singer and composer from Cameroun, renown in Europe ("Black an' White Gospel singers", "By the Gospel River").

A few months later, he joined this Gospel Choir, where he stayed for three years, and quickly became a soloist, singing alone the song "Amazing Grace" at every concerts. He started then to gain a deeper understanding of the essence of African-American music. He clearly felt that the Power of this music comes from a tremendous Love, able to dissolve all the artificial barriers between human beings such as race, religion, or nationality.

Subsequently, Yoann sang with several Soul, Rythm' an' Blues and Gospel bands, among many : « BRBB », a tribute to Otis Redding (singing as soloist); « TRIBUTE TO STEVIE WONDER », (as soloist as well); « THE SOUL TRAVELLERS GOSPEL QUARTET » (soloist and chorist); « GOSPEL SHAKERS », a male Gospel quintet (soloist and chorist); « GOSPEL JAM », performing in duet with a sweet and authentic Gospel lady coming from Togo, Sabine Kouli ("Maezah" and "Soul Spirit") ; « GOSPEL POUR 100 VOIX », singing as soloist in this choir, wich is the most famous one in Europe, composed of 100 singers, directed by Jean Carpenter, in compagny of prestigious soloist as Linda Lee Hopkins, Tori Robinson, or Dominique Magloire. He perfomed then in the biggest French and European stages (Paris-Bercy, Zéniths­ ...) ; etc...

Yoann also had the honor to perform as back vocalist for artists such as Stevie Wonder, Liz McComb, Helen Carter, or Marianne Aya Omac (ex "Ginkobiloba"), in her latest album , "Be my witness".

Hi sweet :-)) I am very happy then that you can feel the Joy that I feel too. The great thing with music is that it creates this Echo, that if the artist feels Joy, the listenner also can feel it easily...
