I remember playing this all the time when I was a kid. I remember it being one of the bleakest, grayest, most depressing looking games ever. But it was a lot of fun!

On the title screen, if you hold all if the yellow "c" buttons a date appears. Does anyone know what this means? Puzzled me for years.

As a matter of pride I never took shortcuts.

I took the shortcuts becuase it is in the game. They wouldnt have put the shortcuts in there for you not to be able to take them. And in a race where you can barely see, slide all over the road and racing against opponets the dont know what the brake is, you need every bit of help you can get.
