Roy Tarpley shows why he's the 1987-88 NBA Sixth Man of the Year by coming off the bench and energizing the Dallas Mavericks team and crowd (notice how the crowd reacts to him coming in the game). Nice double double by Roy - 16 points and 14 rebounds. This is Tarpley's last full season without injuries or off court problems. Cocaine's helluva drug. February 12, 1988.

    Roy Tarpley had potential to be the greatest power forward ever. He was more talented than Tim Duncan and Karl Malone. He just blew it.

    No, he could have been THAT GOOD. You couldn't have watched him play (not these highlights, but watching him PLAY) and think otherwise.
