Simply Forgotten-Episode 2

~Narrator~
You look confused. Why?

"You were talking about James and Rose. But James and Rose..." you say. "But they..."

Don't bring that up now. In this story, that hasn't happened yet. Remember, ten years ago, the... well, that... incident... didn't happen yet. Just keep listening. But remember.

Ten years ago.

Not yet.

~Story~
"Oh Rose," Alyssa laughed. "Your face... PRICELESS!!!"
"Thanks, Lyss!" Rose said, trying to bow without toppling face first into the flames. "Well, I have my Red Vine... actually, I have James's whole bag now. Night!"
"Night Rose!" James called after her, as she walked to the girls' tent. "See you... WAIT A SECOND, WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT HAVING MY WHOLE BAG!?!?!"
Rose giggled and waved the bag. "Night James."
"URGH!" James growled, stalking off to the boys' tent. "I'M GOING TO BED NOW!"
"Wow, he's noisy," Carlos laughed. "I honestly think that James has two settings: loud, and super loud."
"And you're the one talking, Carlos?" Alyssa teased.
"I'M NOT THAT... oh, erm, I mean... I'm not that loud!" Carlos protested.
Alyssa started laughing her head off, and Carlos grinned.

The others looked at each other. Okay, maybe Carlos was funny, but he wasn't THAT funny. There was something else going on here. Something that had been going on for a while. They'd noticed it before, but now it was obvious.

Carlos Garcia was considered, by some, to be clinically insane. Some people, especially his teachers, looked at his helmet, his mischievous manner, and his low grades (due to crazy stunts pulled in class) and started throwing words like "medication" out into the air for his parents to consider. Luckily for Carlos, however, his parents recognized that the teachers were actually the insane ones, and just told them to let boys be boys and deal with it. Carlos didn't care what his teachers thought... he had a great family, great friends, and a great best friend in Alyssa Malone... the girl he also happened to love.

Alyssa was a shy girl. Shy, but smart. She was in all honors and AP classes, and took them seriously. She wasn't a straight A student (one B+ in AP history ruined her chance of that) but she was incredibly bright for her age, and one of the top people in her class. Top ten for sure. To some, the friendship that she had with Carlos might seem strange. This brilliant girl with a boy who could barely pass Gym? (He wasn't focused enough).

But what Carlos and Alyssa had was special. What they had was, well, love.

Not that they'd say anything yet. A friendship like Alyssa and Carlos's was too special to ruin just yet with talk of love. But if left alone, it was perfectly obvious that their friendship would blossom into a beautiful relationship...

But who ever said anything about their friendship being left alone.

I'm sixteen years old, and yes, I have my driving permit :D I could TECHNICALLY get my license... but we don't exactly have a car at the moment... long, long, story :)

Okay... would it be creepy of me to ask how old you guys are? If it is... just call me a creep and don't comment your age :) I'M JUST CURIOUS!!! I promise, I'm not some sort of weird creep-o :D
