Brooks recently called Palin a "fatal cancer in the Republican Party." He's right. She reminds me why I left the party some years back. She's intellectually incurious, bigoted, backward -- basically, an embarrassment.

He likes that she thinks she's qualified to be President, even though she isn't (just like other Americans). And that's exactly the problem. It takes someone truly extraordinary to lead a nation well. This isn't American Idol or the Olympics. Being blind to your own ignorance in global politics is dangerous. Winking and "you betcha" doesn't cut it with Putin or Kim Jong Il or anyone else at that level. Only American voters can stop this nonsense.

I do believe I saw a segment on The Daily Show which presented evidence that what she's said(that has been given to her to say by the repubs) is practically what Bush said back in 2000
