iNapkin App Review

RATING: 84%

Hello everybody and welcome to the iNapkin iPhone App Review. And this is a little cool app that I like to use when I have ideas, notes and any cool things you need to jot down really quickly. This app basically simulates having a napkin on hand and a pen and being able to draw whatever you want on the napkin.

So this is the page that comes up with when you first open the app. It's like a tutorial introductory page. It says, 'Touch Anywhere to Start Drawing.' There's the PEN tool, the ERASER tool and the HAND icon. And I'm going to take you through those really quickly.

I've actually tapped on to the HAND icon at the moment. So what it allows me to do when I touch the screen and scroll my hand across, it allow me to move the screen.

So part two of the tutorial says, 'Select from up to 3 Napkin Sizes.' You can save and load up to 24 napkins and you can share directly your napkins with Facebook. You can also change your different options depending on how large or how thin you want to make your stroke.

And to get started, we just tap on the PLUS (+) sign here. So I'm going to go ahead and tap on the plus sign. Then I have the choice of creating a small, a medium or a large napkin. The page we were on was just the tutorial page. I'm going to go ahead and tap on 'Large.' Now this napkin looks like a napkin. As I'm still on the HAND tool and I'm kind of scrolling around, you can see that it's actually a pretty big napkin. And it's got a pretty cool feel about it.

Now in order to draw on it, I just tap on the little PEN here. And it comes up with five different colors. And this little scroll bar here allows me to make it a larger pen stroke. Or if I go down—we can choose a different color—it'll be a much thinner pen stroke as opposed to right at the top for a thick pen stroke. So that's just in the top‑left hand corner. If I don't like what I've done, this is the ERASER tool. I tap on that and it'll me allow me to adjust the size of how big or small that I want to erase. And then I just put my finger on that and I can take that around and erase whatever it is that I like or dislike.
