  • @theman9126 thanks. re: Speed. People do have different ideas about the tempo here, and often like to take the trio slower it's true. You'll have to be prepared to defend your tempo choice sometimes. When that comes for me, I have Beethoven on my side because I took his tempo: 126

  • That's a much longer discussion than can be had here. Many pros make their own reeds. There are books on the subject and teachers you can study with. There may also be information on line.

    Good luck,

  • 43.

Seriously I make my own, so I don't know what strength that would be.

  • This one of the warhorses for clarinet and you pulled it off flawlessly! I also completely agree with your tempo. I am constantly having to remind my colleagues that it's a minuet (i.e dance) and not a dirge. Your last note was excellent. I myself am still trying different fingerings as so I won't get that "popping" effect.

  • besides the speed (which for my tastes was kind of fast....) it was beautiful i loved the way u let the G at the end ring....im gonna try that for my audition this week

  • @SeanOsborn cool how do you make your own reeds?

  • what size of reed use?

  • Nice phrasing and tone. Super!
