EDIT: for those wishing a tutorial, I still can not do it, but here is a link where I explain somethings and there a download link there with the scene

Testing blender fluid control system. I have wanted to try this for a long time. The shaders, shape and animations were just to see things. I hope one day I have time to do something decent. Meanwhile I learned some things:
-different of obstacles, the mesh density plays a biiig role here. Higher mesh- very slow.
-particles makes no visual difference, but makes everything much slower.
-there is something that makes the control quality crash blender in the beginning and make it very slow. I guess it is the time. Bigger time end, more crashes.

Testando o controle de fluído do blender que eu queria tentar faz tempo. Shader, formas e animação são só teste. Espero um dia ter tempo de fazer algo decente

  • i have just started learning blender. I can only create crappy pics no amazing animation like you. Where can I learn to become really good at blender and what tips could you give me.

P.S Your animations are insane :)

  • blendercookie

    blendtuts

    blenderguru

    those are some good sites.

3d is a very big genre. your success will depend on time, dedication and talent. the tip I guess I can give is to focus as much as you can on as few things as you can, even if you have talent. But I might be wrong even in that point.

  • youtube won't let me add links to comments

    just add com on those

  • In lieu of a full tutorial, can you just post a process list?

    Thanks, this is wonderful!!

  • I am sorry I still did not do it. But I swear there was a link here with the proccess. Anyway, I updated the decription with the link.

Hopefully, next month I will do it, since I have just one more job to finish and a new computer.

  • " particles makes no visual difference, but makes everything much slower."

If it is the Generate Particles option you refer to it will not make a visual difference until you create a particle system to render the generated particles. I recommend avoiding the particles as I've had great problems with them myself.

  • thanks for the tip. I guess I used particles correctly, since I have used them correctly before. But I might be wrong.

But anyway, my experience is the same as yours. I have never seen a blender fluid with particle that would not get worse then without them. It is an interesting option but so far practically useless.

  • Now you just need a youtube account called ''FluidDragon'' And you'll have yourself a intro :P

  • nice

  • how long did this take to render?

  • This looks like what would happen if you shot a RPG at a dragon, then it blew up and bled to death.

  • Hell yeah.

  • @Ri4tje You have to render your images to see it.

  • @EpicActionAnimations I see the button, but if I click that only the preview box turns transparent and my fluid stays the same. Why?

  • @Ri4tje In the fluid's material, there's a place to select transparency.

  • In the second animation, how do you get the fluid translucent?
