  • Sure, but would you sacrifice you trunk space just to keep a hard top on?, besides, you can atach a de-atachable hard on on winters... worth @ US$2000

  • GET ANOTHER ONE FOR YOUR ASS

  • z4 now has a hard top

  • I own a second hand 2004 BMW Z4 Roadster, and I am lookinf forward for the new 2009 BMW Z4.

  • The soft top on my Z4 is of the highest quality. Very well made and quiet. No complaints here.

  • ahora hasme llorar pendejo

  • B/c of style. As they have already said in here, the real roadster style is the soft top.

  • A hardtop is more functional than a rag top in terms of safety and insulation, whereas the hardtop is heavier than a rag top. From the aesthetic poin of view I prefer the rag top, it gives the car a classic air. And in modern times where everyone is mounting hardtops on cars (and in my opinion killing that roadster charm) I hope BMW continues doing the atemporal classic-looking rag top.

    Cheers.

  • Also, hardtop is heavy. Z4 is about lightweight design. It weighs same as Z3, despite far better stiffness and bigger dimensions.
