If I remember correctly, the French Indian War was part of the Seven Years War in Europe. Well during this France got the idea "Hey! They have colonies close to ours (Which were in Canada) lets attack them over here! They won't expect it!" So they allied with the Indians and attacked the British colonies (Original 13 colonies at the time.) Despite that England sent over troops, and beat them up, and we got more territory at the end of the war, which England won.
