Boss Fight: Fiery Armadillo
His attacks are easy to avoid. He'll shoot a bunch of fire balls out, breathe
fire, and roll up into a ball and jump and roll around. They can be avoided by
just running out of the way. Throw Incendiary Shurikens or charged arrows at
his face for maximum damage. When he gets low on health he will completely
light on fire and constantly shoot fireballs out. Throw another Incendiary
Shuriken at him and he will fall to the ground. Finish him off, then hold down
the Left Trigger to block. He will teleport next to you, explode, then kill
you if you don't.

Alternative method (though the one in the video is quicker than this, I don't know if that's due to power-ups or whatever) is to equip the claw while he's walking around, go for his back leg and just spam strong attack. He won't use any attacks on you for some reason, just keep walking around in a circle until you get him down to about 25% health and he lights on fire. Then basically the same method from then on.

A nice, glitchy solution for noobs like me!

I hated this bastard.

First time he surprised me and I was dead.

I was like:"What the hell?! °° "

Second time I ran away from the boss, hoping the explosion was short-ranged, but I died anyway.

Third time, I used art of the inferno to block the explosion, and it actually saved me.

when i 1st fought this boss i didnt know u cood do something as simple as hold the block button 2 block his explosion. when i killed him i just kept running and dashing and stuff trying 2 get away from the explosion. about 87% of the time it worked

i just beat the 2 armadillos in about 40 seconds by using the true dragon blade. it was soooo easy!!!! no IS either! no healing, although i was almost dead...

i'm on acolyte and he does all the things that you just described. they just mucked up the bosses in this game. they should have patterns and such, but instead we've got serious randomness and brutal punishments for everything that would make sense to do.

Very interesting - I'm playing on Warrior mode and the first attack he does (twice) is the Fire Breath so I cannot run up on him like you did. Also, when I get close to the head he grabs (bites) and spits me out - I wonder why he didn't do that to you? What mode are you on?
