James Kalm takes a trip down memory lane with this controversial exhibition. With a look back of over forty years, the romanticism and exotic joy that was offered by the psychedelic revolution is still attracting devotees and influencing artists. Admittedly the music was fabulous, the social changes breathtaking, but lesser known was the broad influence of the poster designers who were promoting every thing from concerts to protest demonstrations. A great proportion of this show is dedicated to documentation of the personalities and times. Included are images of Timothy Leary, Alan Ginsberg, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Abdul Mati Klarwein, Richard Lindner, Isaac Abrams and others.
matt klarwein is sheer quality, anyone read his book milk n honey?

Very trippy man! Were those Rudi Stern's light shows? He was the main person doing them at the Filmore(s) in the 60's behind all the great music.

Thanks for the recording this exhibit. I wish I would've known about this when they had it. A couple years too late. Are there any other psychedelic exhibits in NYC right now?

Thank you for recording this and I'm glad they let you do so. I don't live in NY so it's great to see this on YouTube. May the exhibit travel the country for all to see.
