We use clean-burning anthracite coal to make the world's best pizza. The process first begins with a wood and charcoal fire, and progresses to a glowing mound of 1000 degree coal..Total time takes about 90 minutes. See more at www.tonysaccos.com
@vanderbiltst Italian pizza is meh at best (but also at worst). Either way, I doubt it matters much how you generate your heat. If you taste your fuel, you have a bigger problem.
I always thought coal would impart an undesirable flavor to food. I guess not. That's quite an inferno you got going in there. I like the "Barber of Seville" background music too. If I'm ever in Palm Beach, I'll stop in and order a pizza.
I have always been curious about how one starts a coal boiler. Till this vid, I thought it was like a charcoal grill or a wood fire (some rolled up newspaper or some lighter fluid...)
I'm going to be in Palm Beach in a week. Maybe I'll swing on by.

@drbolwerk You must be joking? The best pizzas in the world are made in Italy, particularly the Camapagna region or as some say NAPLES!

@vanderbiltst But then, what does Italy have to do with the "world's best pizza"?
