The Sorpresa Gold Prospect area of 1.5km x 0.5km at Fifield NSW has demonstrated significant gold anomalism within a soil geochemistry grid in 2010, following the initial work at Sorpresa in 2008. The soil geochemistry has been probed at some of the higher gold values with auger drill traverses into bedrock. Large zones (up to 45m width) of fine anomalous gold, disseminated in bedrock have been seen within breccia shear zone structures. Follow up work is due shortly. The result is considered significant and encouraging for a broader large scale previously undiscovered gold mineralised area at Fifield.
