Wow, thank you for reminding me of that night. I was there and it was so incredible. Many tears that night. The family left you with the most wonderful feeling of being able to take your life to a higher and more worthy place. They always showed such love for their fans. Mother Os. was a wonderful example of that.
The combination of these 2 songs are absolutely amazing!!! Nobody can put as much heart into a song as the Osmonds do, but when they sing this it is majical!! Truly some of the Greatest entertainers ever. Just the fact they they are still here, performing successfully 35 years after being considered "Has Beens". Really amazing!!!
I also saw this song done in allentown. It was amazing then and still is more than amazing. I have a audio tape of them doing this and I have treasured it for years. I am so glad to find it on video after all these years.
In allentown, maybe 1975, they did this and it was thundering, but no lightening. every time they asked "are you up there?" the thunder rumbled. it was awesome. everyone was touched by it. immediately after the show was over, the rain started in torrents.
Great video. The only thing I hate about it is the smoke. The people in the back used way too much smoke in this song and you can barely see them, but other than that. I love this video.
I like how the brothers and sister are in a semi-circle around the stage. Facing the fans from every side.
Thanks for putting this up, Lyn. This is a great video. I have to say this is my favorite album for Are You Up There/I Believe.
i love that song and they perform it so well
