Texas Stadium Implosion - April 11, 2010 (HD)

Today, we watched the implosion of Texas Stadium in Irving, TX. Texas Stadium has been home to the Dallas Cowboys from 1971 to 2008/2009 year. The camera view is from the south side of the stadium looking across highway 183. The implosion took place at 7:05 AM on April 11th, 2010. The banter you hear is between me (Vance) and a friend I made today, Kevin, two of my sons, Jason and Jordon and my wife, Julie. My son, Justin is viewing the implosion from our hotel room, a few hundred feet away, as he wasn't feeling well. (By the way, I am placing this video on my wifes youtube page with her permission so I can leave my channel (vanceperry) alone with my music.) I began video taping about 30-40 seconds before the implosion and stopped recording after the dust had settled. The 3 large things you see still standing at the end (after the dust settles) are the famous outside braces of the stadium which were suppsed to go down but didn't. The mayor of Irving says that these are now the Stonehenge of Irving. Many great memories rushed through our heads as we talked throughout the night. We had a wonderful time.
