    Alan Johnson, said yesterday as he launched the government's new parenting strategy. "The involvement of fathers is crucial, whether or not they live with their children. Once fathers become involved, they tend to remain involved".

    He suggested that parents who struggle with the three Rs should return to education and learn to read and write with their children.

  • I agree, I did everything possible work freelance around his schedule, working on weekends when my husband was home to babysit. My son is 13 and well adjusted. My alien. child who is much older had the benefit of having his mom home 24/7 and thank goodness for that, as he may be able to draw from that in order to survive not having me due to his father's alienating tactics.
