As Jews we believe in the inherent dignity of all people, for we read in the Torah, "So God created the human beings in [the divine] image, creating [them] in the image of God, creating them male and female" (Gen. 1:27). As human beings, we have a responsibility to ensure that the spark of the Divine presence in each individual is respected. To that end, we hope that our participation in the It Gets Better campaign will remind LGBT youth who are struggling that they are valued and loved.

We are proud to join countless others, including President Obama, celebrities, athletes, religious leaders and individuals across the nation, who have participated in the It Gets Better campaign to provide messages of hope to LGBT youth.

  • @hchauss108 Have you attended a L'Taken Social Justice Seminar? No? Then you probably don't know what you're talking about here.

  • Beautiful ,iafé m'od !!!!

  • NAMATH!!!

  • Proud to be a Reform Jew and proud to support the RAC!

  • Lovely video

  • Isn't this more about the RAC being self-congratulatory than it is about kids in crisis? If I were an LGBT teen in the midst of suffering, I'm pretty sure this would be meaningless to me.

  • The message is very good, helpful, and positive. Speaking as an out gay Jew (and rabbi), I would find the message considerably more supportive and helpful to gay youth if the people delivering the message were clearly identified as gay Jews. I suspect that most of them are not. They are speaking AT kids and FOR them rather than with them.

  • props to living up to the motto of tikun olam.
