@razgorgus Let me give you my own country as an example. In the 80ties it was still perfectly normal that a family could live of 1 salary. Even in the early nineties. Now a family needs 2 salaries just to leave normally. That is what "progress" has brought us. It has nothing to do with the EU! It is the fact nobody can compete with countries not knowing what salaries are to begin with. And without the EU, we would probably needing 4 salaries here (2 + evening/weekend jobs).

@razgorgus I know you live in Poland. Saw in your account. But the pronblems you describe have NOTHING to do with EU. You are indeed doing well in the EU. Better than others. The point is outsourcing, competition and globalisation. Everything must be cheaper than a Chinese kid can make it for and he gets just 1 lolly per hour. Conclusion: it is hopeless. And it will all get worse fou us all as long as we do not start protecting European markets again.

@Efteling4Ever - maybe I'll surprise you but I live in Poland and it's far from what statistics are saying. It's only worse each year and salaries getting smaller and smaller. Government invested in just nothing and they are repairing budget only with draconian taxes. Now we would also have to pay for removall of rainfall. You know why we are country with fastest growing economy of all EU? We have politicians and economists who are such an idiots that they cannot calculate this.

@publicmario17 Kid, you honestly have no idea what Europe and the EU are like. The EU is like paying tax. Europeans moan about it but all pay up. The Brits moan about it, but never leave ... etc. etc. As for falling, it's only been growing so far. As for the Euro,...... oh I see it just gained against the USD. As long as there is a crappy USD, there sure as hell will will be a crappy Euro as well.
