Full Instrumental piece from the group Lorem Ipsum. Familiar to "The Wire" fans as the background music playing in Season 1 when Avon Barksdale visits the Pit to see his nephew D'Angelo.

  • VAswang you rock for getting this, where did you find it?

  • I always liked this song when I first heard it on "The Wire". I never even knew the name of the song or who did it until somebody mentioned it in the comments for one of the "Avon visits the Pit" YouTube vids. After that, I just searched around on the internet until I found it. If you want it, I can send you a download link. Just PM me.

  • was it me who mentioned it? =D

  • Yep, it was you!

  • @VAswang hey dude thx 4 the upload! pls can you tell me where does the 2:40 picture come from??

  • It comes from "The Wire: The Animated Series".

  • the greatest television show ever produced. nothing short of genius. 5 years of character development, completely unforgettable.

  • @TheMusesOrg Wallace

  • This is one of the most inspiring tracks ever.

Great work from the wire also.

  • Who? Who down thumbed this video? I demand to know!!!!

  • The bass in this tune is eerie, it's Stringer and Avon to a tee. Slow mo and this tune made that scene amazing.

  • This song is perfect to the scene wich its been played to on the show

  • For anyone who wants info on the project Lorem Ipsum- they are a collection of artists from the Baltimore-based experimental electronic Cytoplastik label. The artists that contributed to this track are still based in Baltimore and playing shows together.

  • Hawwwwwwwt

  • @philaowens81 The consequences you've just described match the diagnoses for the conditions 'Eargasm' and 'Eyegasm' .......Should these symptoms disperse, you should probably refrain from any TV talent shows or late night movies until they reappear.

  • Thank you! Just saw that episode and was like "I...must...hear...that...song again!". Can you prehaps send it to me? ^_^ once again, thanks!
