A quick overview of the EXPED SIM Lite SHORT sleeping mat.

It's a nice sleeping mat that covers mostly the upper body and isn't much bigger than a 1 liter Nalgene bottle.

Conclusion: Tough, Small, Light, only drawback in my opinion self inflating mats at more fragile than closed cell foam mats... but hey, we can't have everything ;-)

  • GReat review, thanks 4 sharing

  • @RDPproject Yeah... those knees suck when they "squick" while walking. I have several problems due to various sports I've practiced over the years and several "accidents" I've had like falls on MTB or while kite-jumping, bad torsions in martial arts and so on.

Thermarest are great mats but as all inflating mats... they are more prone to failures thant foam mats... but thanksfulls, easy to repair. ^^

  • You have knee problems Matt....?

So do I. My right knee is F**ked......lol

I have a Thermarest self-inflating matt that i have had for about

7 years now. Its still going strong.

  • nice one
