  • I think the link to 'my raw mom' is broken

  • Thanks for letting me know! Actually, it's kind of goofy, you have to use the exact capitalization: "MyRawMom". But I'll see if I can improve that.

  • Chuck!

I'm a trained cook and just transitioning to raw, and I have to tell you: your food looks spectacular! You have a great eye for presentation. Your mom looks very vigorous and happy. Keep up the good work!

  • What a terrific compliment, thank you! I wish you success with raw foods... I believe you will find it to be one of the best things you've ever done for yourself. Oh, and I hope you open a new raw food restaurant... We need more! :-D

    Best wishes,

    Chuck

  • GREAT!

Thanks to you mam! And WELL DONE to your mam also!

    Hugs x

  • Thank you for your encouragement! She's really happy that things are going so well for her with the raw food diet. We're all so proud of her! =^D

  • Also, with regards to fats, plant fats are good fats. They lower bad cholesterols and help vitamins & minerals absorption in your body. But like any fats, they are still calorific and should be consumed in moderation when you are going for weight loss.

  • The comment on cravings in my theory, is not that because of the lack of protein as she was suggesting she would get from nuts. She mentioned she ate a lot of vegetables which is a major source in amino acids (building blocks of protein). I believe it was a natural crave from the body as it tried to take on the new diet. I'm about 80% raw and still get my cravings every now and again. Raw is not all or nothing, it is best to slowly adjust and satisfy those cravings when you need to than none.
