  • Nice fat bassline! Awesome tune! What the hell is the guy with the shakers doing though? He's out of time for pretty much all of the song.

  • Thanks for the great comment. He's playing the maracas in a "swing time" fashion timed on the backbeat.

  • @houseofreggae

Wow, Nice that he's so technical with the "swing time" tempo beat , but quite frankly its just ruining the song for us.

  • @Makbelly It's not technical, it's technique. Technique is relative to the individual. If this track makes you unhappy...don't listen to it. Personally, this performance blows my mind! If you need polished perfection, get into classical music, reggae may not be your bag, baby.

  • EPIC AND MAGISTRAL SESSION

  • @danieltuffs ... the guy with the shakers is just a good friend i guess ... me also have some experience of that kind ...

  • reggae music !!! once !!!

  • Rpz que som é esse?!?!?

A tempos estou prcurando um som dessa estirpe, estava um pouco perdido e preocupado em rever o belo Roots, o som pra acalmar os ouvidos!

  • Dis ya right. All DJs in Jamaica are always vocally flat by at least a half note. Very traditional style that dates back 200 years. All is driven off the back beat.......

  • Dat shaker, he iz make ya feel un-settled be ya not movin.

Sway to the music, then bounce a lil to the shaker beat while still swayin and all calm be with ya.

  • Anything Dennis Bovell produced or played on in the late 70`s early 80`s is top drawer. Great post
