  • You must be right by most of what you've commented. But that it's not a dervish dance is difficult to accept - the whole bunch of organizers of the festival and the British Council had to be fooled - or they also wanted to fool the spectators. But my impression is that it's possible to take the dance over from the dervishes and go out to entertain spectators with it all over the world. My question remains: what's the difference between this and the 'real' kind?

  • what is this crap - he looks like a gay boy in a black dress goin out of his mind kos his ladyboy has left him for another faggot.

  • @uhtred84 What you've said may just reveal what you are! Blame your dirty imagination, ok?

  • OMG he is stripping..! This is not meditation at all, this is consumerism-fed fakeness!

  • @SuspendedSkye you may not be right, be careful with your language. The absolute is incorrect. In this case, they were swirling for nearly an hour. How can you deduce it's not meditation at all based on a short part? Besides, they have to sell themselves, just like Adidas. Is all an ad says always true? This is very possibly based on meditation in their ways. Looks distinctly different from a papal address or a woo-doo session to me. Are those, as we know them, free from commercialism?

  • Dear all, if anyone knows the original version as we could see them dance and meditate inside their own mosque without onlookers (! how could anyone see it then?), then let us know in what ways these videos show something different. If you have no idea what it is (mvs109), try not to assure anyone that it's not traditional Sufi dance. If you have some, please explain. What is original? Even the tradition of Xmas trees is barely 150 y's old, not to mention Valentine's day. This is surely better.

  • @uhtred84 You're a terrible person, and I'm letting you know you're a terrible person. Be ashamed of yourself.

  • The Dewishen dance is really only a form of meditation. With the thoughts, to turn around as the earth rotates. Since this "Dance" is so interesting for tourists, there are very many organizers such "look" organize dances, such as in this video. So don't be fooled, the person in this video are not real Derwish's. There are simple dancers to provide amusement for the tourists.

The real Derwish "Dance" will be carried out by the Islamic Sufi Orders.

  • this is definitly not a dervish dance. i think the man is a artist and works by a theater

  • OMG HE IS SO FUCKIN HOT!!!
