  • Jay, thanks for all the great videos. I can't figure out how this submission works. Is it a neck crank? Just wondering if it could be used in a bjj tournament.

  • @raguin1 doesn't hurt the neck at all. it realy is more of a shoulder attack. That being said you could always run into a ref who thinks it looks like a neck crank. Look at the video i put up of the no gi option as this one should be less confusing for the ref

  • never seen something like this... lol

  • @chikkmagneet there is nothing new in jiujitsu as there are only so many ways that a body can move. I am however curious as to where you seen this move before as I haven't seen many people using it.

  • @jbelljitsu Yes you're right. Though i'm only suggesting i've never seen this move before and that is most likely due to my inexperience. I think you may have had me wrong as I said I've never seen a move like this. I've never seen it used in tournaments or taught anywhere else except here. :) its really cool though! I'll definitely have to try it out and make it apart of my platas :)

  • @chikkmagneet it can be so difficult to interpret tone and intent when I try and respond to comments on here..... I'm really glad you liked it and hope that it works out well for you. You can search on failoplata and you'll see a number of other options that I've posted that start off in this same basic position. I'm also in the develo, ent stages of putting together a DVD on this position and the various options it presents which is why i was so curious as to where else you may have seen it

  • @jbelljitsu Ah i see how i could have been misinterpreted... My bad! But that would be so awesome! I really have not had to study much other advantages from this position other than the omaplata but i'm excited to see what other options are available! Always looking to improve my jui-jitsu! Thank you for making this video!

  • It's a lucky gi. I have three gis that I wear regularly: lucky, brunami, and gameness

  • what kind of GI is that ?

  • thats a really nice gi
