I've been to Eleuthera 3 times and I LOVED IT!!!! :-)

Spent time at Cape Eleuthera a few weeks ago, just after the Bahamas Bill Fishing Tournament. Would you believe they caught over 50 bill fish in under three days!!! My wife loved the resort, the townhome we rented was total luxury. So beautiful! So relaxing! So friendly! So off the grid!

Thanks Captain Skip!
The fish around Cape Eleuthera was definitely out to play during that tournament! Did you happen to catch glimpse of the 703 lb marlin that was caught by one participating boats? What a monster that was!!!
Hope you come back to visit us soon!

Definately not touristy like the OTHER Bahamas.

Love this video! Eleuthera definitely embodies the meaning of the "Real Bahamas"!
If you plan on coming to Eleuthera be sure and check out Cape Eleuthera Resort (south end of the island)! It's the resort that was shown at the end of this awesome video! Sooooo beautiful and tons to do!

I thought Hawaii was the most beautiful place on earth until I experienced Eleuthera... way more laid back, affordable and less commercial. Eleuthera is pristine and quiet unless of course you go to Harbour Island where there's more action... oh wait... Pink Sand Beach... now that's what I'm talking about!

its hard to believe my family is from here....

You can get conk in Savannah, GA. Just thought you should know.

Thanks for the comment. True, actually you can get conch at many US restaurants, like in Florida, SC, GA. Served as fritters or in Ceviche, etc. But, Conch is an endangered species in the US and is not allowed to be fished or removed from the ocean. So these places are most likely serving Conch that was caught in the Bahamas and shipped over, or from a conch fishery. So, you can't beat freshly caught conch. mmmm with lime juice. Sounds good. Can't go to the Out Islands with out having some.
