BOBBY SOXX FORMED THE TEENAGE QUEERS IN 1979, IN DALLAS. THE ORIGINAL LINE-UP WAS BOBBY SOXX : VOCALS, VALERIE BOLES: BASS, POGO: GUITAR, JERRY DIRKX: DRUMS. THEY WERE SOON JOINED BY STEVE DIRKX. IN EARLY 1980 BOLES AND POGO LEFT, CHRIS DIRKX JOINED ON DRUMS. MOST SONGS WERE WRITTEN BY STEVE DIRKX/BOBBY SOXX, BUT NOT ALL AS BOLES, POGO AND JERRY DIRKX ALSO CONTRIBUTED SONGS. THE TEENAGE QUEERS BROKE UP IN LATE 1980, WITH BOBBY SOXX GOING ON TO FORM "STICKMEN WITH RAY GUNS" BOBBY DIED IN 2000.
