  • a good example is, to rearange the parts of a bicycle. It wouldn't function or take you anywhere lol.

    but the parts in the right places create a great method of transport :)

  • its not just about pieces not working by themselves, but rather all the parts, the sum, wouldn't work if rearanged. And so they are more than the sum of their parts.
