Alcoholism Can Be A Strong Word

http://whyiprayintheshower.com/ Alcoholism and alcoholic can be two very strong words for many people. The thing is, there aren't really any other definitions to use at this time, except for terms like "high" bottom alcoholic and "functioning" alcoholic. What would at least help with this is to get the message out there that addiction isn't a weakness. Taking away the shame and stigma associated with addiction is very important in helping people who are dependent on a drug or alcohol so that they will come forward for help. Being an "alcoholic" turned out to be one of the best things to happen to me in my life, and I want to make people understand that there should never be any shame when it comes to alcoholism and addiction.

The slang definition for awesome is excellent or outstanding which is what I believe you're saying here. And a standard definition for awesome is showing or characterized by awe. However, one definition of awe is an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, fear, etc., produced by that which is grand, sublime, extremely powerful. My conclusion? If someone drinks alcohol to feel awesome, then yeah, I can understand why they would think alcohol is excellent or outstanding. :)
