It is, however, a crime to enter the country unlawfully, work for compensation while illegally present in the U.S., drive on American roads w/o a license or insurance, use someone else's Soc. Sec. #, and purchase or create fraudulent identification documents.

There is no "want", people need jobs. I'd go out in the field even though i'll lose my dignity. But then again, as an american citizen, you are expected to move up from jobs like those. Illegal immigrants doing those jobs can't move up simply because they dont have those privileges. Illegal Americans in Mexico don't have privileges the same as Mexican citizens. If we get rid of these "bonuses" countries have for their own people than everything will be equal.

Where are the "Americans" on the fields? Here in my county not to long ago, the harvesting of grapes(i think i dont remember exactly what fruit) was in season. 100+ weather. And your not paid hourly, you are paid by how many crates you rack up. So the faster you work, the more you get paid. They did this to show if in fact, Americans are willing to do back breaking jobs. Illegals are here in the US because there is a demand for their labor by individuals who give them day jobs and by companies that hope to make more profit by under-cutting Americans. Both of these are Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A). You (individual, small business owner, CEO of company, etc) hire an illegal alien - you pay FELONY prison time. We need to ask that the Federal law on the books be enforced.
