Robot programming project in Robot Design class, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Florida International University (FIU), Miami, Florida, Spring 2009.
Student teams are required to program a robotic platform for three different scenarios. For each task, algorithms were developed by teams, programs written on personal computers and tested on microcontroller simulators and in the robotics laboratory. Most robust and versatile algorithm that uses sensory information efficiently gets the highest grade. Points are deducted for indecision or erroneous decisions.
