Phillip Bliss was a talented and beloved musician and writer of hymns. He had the esteem of his colleagues and leaders wherever he played and taught music. Yet despite his talents and renown Phillip Bliss' life was marked by Christ-like humility, a humility that sought the benefit of others over himself even in the face of death.
