@hasancoool Which claim are you referring to? I have read the Satanic Verses and had I not known Rushdie got a mark on his head for it I would never have guessed it. I have not read the Qu'ran but I'd like to read it and the Bible before I die.

The notion that the book caused the men to commit this act is pernicious and ignorant in the extreme. This offence against reason and decency has made me think twice about Deedat's honesty. What honest or decent person could take a vicious criminal's pathetic at face value and then generalize from this about a nation, a culture? What must one believe in order to make such a judgement? How credulous must one be not to stand aghast at such an unwarranted insinuation? Disgraceful.
